Reception assigns room 214 to a guest who has just landed from Lagos. The room was vacated at 10, but nobody told the front desk that the housekeeper was pulled away to a VIP suite. The guest opens the door to an unmade bed.
With Biodux, 214 shows as dirty on both screens until housekeeping marks it clean, or inspected if you require inspection. Night audit flips occupied rooms back to dirty for the morning, so the board starts each day right.

Who changed a room’s status, when, and from where: the board, a checkout, night audit or a manual change.

Night audit resets the board
Occupied rooms are marked dirty overnight, so housekeeping starts each morning from the right list.

Out of order periods
Take a room out of order with dates, a reference and a remark. It drops off availability and shows on the out of order list.

Room status reports
Print the housekeeping status (F8) and the out of order report for the morning briefing.

FAQ
Housekeeping: common questions
Can housekeeping update rooms without access to billing?
Yes. User rights are set per area, so housekeeping staff can work on the board without seeing guest bills or reports.
Can we add our own room statuses?
Yes. Add codes, choose their colours, and decide whether each one counts as sellable, inspected or still needing work.
Do you have a maintenance or work-order module?
Not as a separate module. You can take a room out of order with a reference and remark, and it comes off availability until you put it back.
