Hotel Door Lock Integration: The key card is made at check-in, and it stops working at checkout.
Biodux PMS talks to your electronic door lock system, so the receptionist issues the key card from the same screen they check the guest in on. Room moves update the key, checkout cancels it, and every key issued is in the key history.
Works with
- VingCard
- TTLock
- Orbita
- Xeeder
Connected to Biodux PMS
Why it matters
When the lock software and the front desk are separate, staff key the room number in twice. Mistakes happen, and a key for a checked-out guest can stay live for days.
With the lock connected to Biodux, there’s one place to check in, and the key follows the booking. If the guest changes rooms, the old key stops and the new one starts.
During a stay
What happens, step by step
01
Check-in
The receptionist checks the guest in and encodes the card in the same flow.
02
Extra or lost keys
Add a key for a second guest, or replace a lost one, from the guest’s record.
03
Room move
Moving the guest updates their key to the new room.
04
Checkout
Checking out cancels the guest’s key.
In detail
What the integration does
-
Issue keys at check-in
Encode the card from the check-in screen. No second program, no retyping.
-
Add, replace and update
Extra keys for a second guest, replacements for lost cards and updates when the stay changes.
-
Key history
A record of every key issued, by room and guest, in the key history report.
-
Force key use
Optionally require a key to be issued at check-in, so nobody skips it.
FAQ
Door locks & key cards: questions
Which lock brands does Biodux work with?
VingCard, TTLock, Orbita and Xeeder are connected today. If you have another brand, ask us. We check every lock system before quoting.
Do we need new locks?
Usually not. If your locks are one of the brands we support, Biodux connects to the lock system you already have.
What happens to a key when a guest checks out?
Checkout cancels the key in the lock system, so the card stops opening the room.
